Featured Initiatives

Kadambagachi Banglar Karusilpa Unnayan Sanstha is transforming lives through its Jute Craft Skill Development Program, aimed at empowering rural women with sustainable livelihood opportunities. This initiative trains women in eco-friendly jute product making such as handbags, home décor, jewelry, rugs, and utility items combining traditional craftsmanship with modern designs.

The training is conducted in batches across West Bengal districts like North 24 Parganas, Hooghly, and Jalpaiguri. Participants learn to use industrial machines, receive business development support, and are guided through post-training phases including product marketing, artisan card creation, and even export license facilitation.

With access to sales outlets and government exhibitions, these women gain real market exposure. This program not only supports women’s financial independence but also promotes sustainable, plastic-free alternatives making it a powerful blend of economic empowerment and environmental consciousness. It stands as a shining example of how skill development can uplift communities and build a greener future.
