At Kadambagachi Banglar Karusilpa Unnayan Sanstha, we believe that education is the cornerstone of sustainable development. Our organization is committed to ensuring that every child, especially in rural and underprivileged communities, has access to quality education, guidance, and a brighter future.
We operate free coaching centres in North 24 Parganas, where children from low-income families receive support in school subjects, basic literacy, and personality development. Our centres are managed by trained and qualified teachers who not only focus on academics but also encourage holistic growth through extracurricular activities and life skills training.
Many of the children we work with are first-generation learners who face barriers such as poverty, lack of resources, and limited parental support. Our programs bridge these gaps by providing educational materials, nutritious meals, and a safe, supportive learning environment.
In addition to school support, we actively promote digital literacy, preparing children and youth to thrive in a technology-driven world. Our team also organizes awareness campaigns on the importance of education, particularly for girls, to reduce school dropout rates and child marriage in vulnerable communities.
Through our collaborations with local authorities and schools, we ensure that our impact is measurable and aligned with broader development goals. Special focus is given to marginalized groups, ensuring inclusive and equitable education for all.
The result? Hundreds of children have improved their academic performance, developed self-confidence, and now dream of becoming teachers, engineers, doctors, and change-makers in their own communities.
Education is not just a right it’s a powerful tool for empowerment. At Kadambagachi Banglar Karusilpa Unnayan Sanstha, we’re committed to unlocking that power one child at a time.
At Kadambagachi Banglar Karusilpa Unnayan Sanstha, we recognize that good health is the foundation of a productive and empowered life. Our healthcare initiatives are designed to improve the well-being of rural and underserved communities across West Bengal, particularly in North 24 Parganas and surrounding districts.
Our organization conducts regular health awareness camps focused on preventive healthcare, personal hygiene, nutrition, and sanitation practices. These camps are held in collaboration with local doctors, ASHA workers, and health professionals, offering free health check-ups, consultations, and distribution of essentials like sanitizers, masks, and mosquito nets.
We pay special attention to maternal and child health, ensuring that women and children receive timely medical advice and are informed about vaccination, balanced diets, and reproductive health. With the support of volunteers, we also distribute nutritious meals to children in vulnerable areas, helping fight malnutrition and poor immunity.
Our health camps have addressed common rural health concerns such as anemia, dengue, malaria, and skin infections, while also creating awareness about mental health and hygiene during menstruation. Through our door-to-door campaigns and community engagement, we’re making sure that health education reaches even the most remote households.
We also work closely with government healthcare programs, ensuring that villagers are connected to public health services and know how to access schemes like Ayushman Bharat, Janani Suraksha Yojana, and others.
Kadambagachi Banglar Karusilpa Unnayan Sanstha remains committed to building healthy, aware, and self-reliant communities. Our goal is to reduce health disparities by empowering people with knowledge, access, and timely support.
Good health is not a luxury, it's a right. Through consistent efforts, compassionate care, and grassroots outreach, we’re turning that belief into reality.

Nutritious Food Distribution Program for Rural Poor Children in North 24 Parganas
Our organization is dedicated to holistic child development, combining quality education with the distribution of nutritious food to children from low-income communities. Through our impactful food distribution program in Hasnabad and Hindalgange, North 24 Parganas, we ensure that vulnerable children receive fresh, wholesome meals every day.
The meals are carefully prepared by local women, fostering community involvement and empowering women through meaningful work. Children gather together to share these meals, which not only nourishes their bodies but also builds a strong sense of community and cooperation.
Each location serves more than 200 children, providing them with the essential nutrients needed to support their growth, health, and learning abilities. We understand that poor nutrition directly affects concentration and academic performance, which is why we invest equally in children’s health and education.
A well-balanced diet is critical for child survival and overall development. Our dedicated volunteers actively serve these nutritious meals, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive both physically and mentally.
By addressing malnutrition and promoting healthy eating habits, our program plays a vital role in shaping a brighter future for the children of rural North 24 Parganas.
Kadambagachi Banglar Karusilpa Unnayan Sanstha has been at the forefront of promoting women empowerment in rural West Bengal, with a mission to uplift women from economically and socially disadvantaged communities. We believe that empowering women is not just a goal, it's a catalyst for lasting social change and community development.
Our work focuses on building self-reliance, confidence, and economic independence among women through skill development training, entrepreneurship opportunities, and Self-Help Group (SHG) formation. By providing access to practical skills such as jute craft, tailoring, embroidery, soft toy making, jewelry designing, and handicrafts, we equip women with the tools they need to earn sustainable livelihoods.
Over the years, we have trained hundreds of women across North 24 Parganas, Jalpaiguri, Hooghly, and South 24 Parganas in traditional and modern crafts. Our training programs are tailored to local resources and market demand, ensuring that women can start micro-enterprises or join group-based production units. Many of these women have transformed from homemakers to first-generation entrepreneurs, contributing financially to their families and gaining social respect. We also work with girls under the Kanyashree Prakalpa, a Government of West Bengal initiative, by offering vocational training and life skills education to ensure they remain in school longer, delay early marriage, and become skilled contributors to society.
To further support women post-training, we assist them in creating artisan ID cards, accessing bank loans, and participating in local and national fairs to showcase and sell their products. Our organization also maintains marketing outlets in Barasat, Dhakuria, and Mandarmani, where women’s handmade items are sold directly to customers ensuring fair pay and recognition.
Our women empowerment initiatives go beyond skill-building. We provide legal awareness, health education, and leadership training to build confidence and advocacy among rural women. Our goal is to help them become agents of change leaders in their households and communities.
At Kadambagachi Banglar Karusilpa Unnayan Sanstha, we are proud to see women breaking barriers, standing tall, and inspiring the next generation. Every empowered woman represents a family uplifted and a future transformed.
At Kadambagachi Banglar Karusilpa Unnayan Sanstha, we believe in empowering rural women by equipping them with valuable skills that promote economic independence and cultural pride. Our skill development training programs focus on creating high-quality handmade soft toys and traditional food products such as jams, jellies, and pickles. These initiatives not only boost local economies but also aim to reduce dependency on imported goods, especially Chinese toys, by promoting authentic Indian craftsmanship.
Soft Toys Making Training: Economic Empowerment and Cultural Revival
Our soft toy making training was launched with three key objectives:
It's no secret that over 80% of toys available in India are imported from China. This poses a challenge to local artisans and manufacturers. To tackle this, we organized training sessions across Amdanga, Deganga, and Haroa in North 24 Parganas. Each training program enrolled 30 women, who were trained intensively by master trainers over one month.
The training covered essential skills such as tracing cloth patterns, stuffing with soft materials, and decorating toys using beads and other accessories. Participants learned to create a range of soft toys including teddy bears, stuffed dolls, soft balls, and plush animals. This initiative not only provided the women with a steady income but also boosted their confidence and self-reliance.
Food preservation through jams, jellies, and pickles is a time-honored tradition that enriches our culinary heritage while offering sustainable livelihood options. Our training program on preparation of these items was held in Jaldavpur, Kolkata, in January 2023, with 30 women participants.
The month-long course was designed to empower women with the skills and knowledge to produce these food items at a commercial scale.
At Kadambagachi Banglar Karusilpa Unnayan Sanstha, environmental conservation is a core focus of our sustainable development efforts. We recognize that protecting the environment is essential for the health, prosperity, and well-being of rural communities in West Bengal. Our environmental initiatives aim to create awareness, promote eco-friendly practices, and empower local populations to safeguard their natural surroundings for future generations.
One of our key projects involves tree plantation drives across villages in North 24 Parganas, Hooghly, and Jalpaiguri districts. By planting native tree species, we work to restore degraded land, improve air quality, and enhance biodiversity. These plantation efforts also help combat soil erosion, preserve water tables, and provide habitats for wildlife, creating a balanced ecosystem.
We conduct regular environmental awareness campaigns in schools, community centers, and local gatherings. These programs educate villagers about the importance of waste management, water conservation, and sustainable agriculture. We emphasize reducing plastic use, promoting recycling, and adopting organic farming techniques to minimize chemical runoff and protect soil health.
Our organization supports cleanliness drives and the development of community waste management systems. Collaborating with local authorities, we promote proper segregation and disposal of waste to reduce pollution and health hazards. By encouraging the use of biodegradable materials and composting, we help communities transition to greener lifestyles.
Water conservation is another critical area of our environmental work. We facilitate rainwater harvesting installations and train villagers on water-saving techniques to tackle irregular rainfall and groundwater depletion. These efforts ensure a sustainable water supply for drinking, irrigation, and daily needs.
In partnership with other NGOs and government schemes, we organize workshops on renewable energy solutions such as solar lighting and biogas plants. These eco-friendly technologies reduce dependence on fossil fuels and promote cleaner energy alternatives in rural households.
Our environment-focused projects not only protect natural resources but also create green jobs and livelihood opportunities in rural areas. By involving women and youth in these initiatives, we foster a culture of environmental stewardship and community responsibility.
Kadambagachi Banglar Karusilpa Unnayan Sanstha is committed to building a greener, healthier future. Through education, action, and collaboration, we strive to empower local communities to become champions of the environment ensuring sustainable growth and ecological balance for generations to come.
